Compare the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe XL to the 2020 Hyundai Palisade

The 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe XL and the 2020 Hyundai Palisade are quite similar in a variety of ways. The latter was made as a bridge to the Palisade, as Hyundai swapped around some names, giving the Santa Fe nameplate to its mid-size, five-passenger option for the 2019 model year moving forward. With the Palisade set to be the successor for the seven-passenger SUV available to drivers across the area, we have both vehicles here in our showroom and each on presents a standout choice for anyone who stops in to take a closer look. Of course, people want to know the differences, and we're here to show you!

Both vehicles of course have three rows of seating and give drivers ample space for storage and much more. The Palisade however is slightly larger as its 196.1 inches in length compared to the 193.1 inches in length from the Santa Fe XL. The Palisade has a larger width and height as well, and a wheelbase that's about four inches longer as well. With that added room the Palisade can seat eight with the right model. Still, both options are plenty spacious, and larger than some other non-Hyundai options out there.

Continuing with the size and space of both vehicles, the Palisade offers more headroom and legroom than the Santa Fe EX by a couple of inches, but both are equally roomy and you'll find a lot to like on each one. The Palisade has larger cargo capacity as well, since it's just a larger option overall.

Moving to power, you're going to find that the Hyundai Palisade offers a 3.8-liter V6 engine with 291 horsepower, which is just slightly higher than the Santa Fe XL's 3.3-liter option with 290 horsepower. The Palisade has more torque for better wheel power and ability to tow, and also uses an eight-speed transmission while the Santa Fe XL uses a six-speed option. Still, both options outdo rival brands like Toyota, Honda and Nissan in terms of power provided to you.

In terms of technology, there's also all-wheel drive available for both vehicles, and each one has plenty of innovative technology. You'll find touch display and Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ options available to drivers as well as quality safety. The Palisade offers it in more trim options, and provide a luxury feel with many different upholsteries as well as options like power dual moonroof options.

With either choice there are plenty of benefits and you can see why both SUVs stand out for drivers across the Phoenixville, Coatesville, West Chester and greater Philadelphia area.
